What Is a Cherish Forever Session? (And Why It Means Everything)

If you've seen my Cherish Forever Sessions page and felt something catch in your chest — I understand. This is one of the most tender things I do, and I want to take a moment to really explain what it is, who it's for, and why I offer it.

Because this isn't just photography. This is love. Plain and simple.

Our Pets Are Family

They greet us at the door every single day. They sleep at our feet and curl up next to us when we're sad. They know our moods before we say a word. They are there through the hard seasons and the good ones, steady and faithful in a way that is hard to put into words.

And when their time begins to draw near — when you get that news from your vet that you were praying you wouldn't get — every single moment left together becomes almost unbearably precious. You want to hold onto all of it.

So What Is It, Exactly?

A Cherish Forever Session is a complimentary end of life pet photography session. That means it is my gift to your family — completely free of charge — during one of the hardest seasons you'll go through.

I come to wherever your pet is most comfortable. Their favorite spot on the couch. Their sunny corner by the window. Their bed. Their yard. Wherever they feel safest and most at peace — that's where I show up, camera in hand and heart wide open.

Why I Do This

I come out of love. That's honestly the only reason. I know what it feels like to have an animal that is everything to you, and I know how much it matters to have those final moments captured — not just stored in your memory, but held in your hands in a way you can look at for the rest of your life.

A photograph doesn't replace them. Nothing does. But it gives you something real to hold onto when the grief comes in waves. It lets you see their face again, bright and loved, in the place where they were happiest.

That matters. I believe that with my whole heart.

How to Book a Cherish Forever Session

To make sure these sessions reach the families who need them most, I do ask for a brief note from your veterinarian confirming your pet's end of life diagnosis. That's it.
